Editor’s Note – as of August 2019, Urban Kitchen has closed.
While there is nothing like a home-cooked meal, there are days when you just don’t feel like cooking (and maybe more importantly, cleaning your kitchen). But eating out can be expensive, especially if you have picky kids who don’t finish a meal. Luckily, there are several restaurants in Gainesville where kids eat free. Most restaurants offer one free kids’ meal with a corresponding adult meal, but be sure to check, as each restaurant has different rules. Give yourself and your wallet a break and check out these restaurants that offer special deals for the kids.

If you’re looking for free kids’ meals on Fridays or Saturdays, we’re sad to share that it’s like finding a magical unicorn; restaurants are savvy and know that by the end of the workweek, many people don’t want to cook. If you know of other area restaurants who offer free or discounted kids’ meals, let us know! We’d love to spread the word!
